Great question, and one in which it is a good time in human history to ask!

IMO, the best home roaster has these features; easy to use, roasts all the coffee very evenly, is quick and efficient, utilizes the Fluid Bed Roasting method (a cleaner process of heating with electricity vs. propane gas), and is affordable.

Obviously there are many interpretations of the parameters within each one of those features. It is therefore up to the purchaser as to what is right for their needs.

Coffee roasting at home is a lot easier than most people think…..and…..is a lot more important for making great coffee than most people think. For these reasons, the best machine for the most number of people, will be a balance of the above mentioned features.
