Drinking coffee while on a Keto diet and while intermittent fasting is an excellent way to enhance coffee’s fat metabilizing and fat burning qualities.
However you must drink it black with zero additives (sugar, cream, artificial sweeteners, etc.) in order to remain in a state of ketosis and in a no insulin fasted state.
Thomas Delauer has created an excellent video explaining the science behind fasting and drinking coffee.
However the video does not go far enough, IMO, of explaining the importance in consuming only 100% Arabica coffee, and in using fresh roasted coffee. This, I believe, is extremely important in order to not overdose on caffeine and further enhance coffee’s beneficial resources when you are using it in conjunction with intermittent fasting or a ketogenic diet.
Here is more information about which kind of coffee you should choose to drink:
I highly recommend using coffee as a tool in the practices of following a keto diet and when intermittent fasting. Just be conscious and aware that not all coffee should be treated the same. Always use 100% Arabica…..AND……use fresh roasted coffee to maximize the effects. This will elevate your coffee experience and provide greater health and wellbeing!
